Terrace Garden is Mediterranean in feel with a mass-market appeal. Fairmont
Designs has created a lifestyle look that combines the elements of good-sized
wood parts and metal in a traditional time tested look. The massive scale
of Marge Carson influences this collection. A hand carving accentuates the
use of multi-media materials. Rich fabrics combined with antiqued nail heads
picks up the "organic metal sculptures" of the occasional posts
and dining base. Terrace Garden's "S" post is an updated shape
which combines Roman fluting with the "S" shape found on Grecian
sofas of the 19th century. We have used nail heads to tie in the bronze
tipping on the rosettes of case pieces. The overall look is what Fairmont
Design coins "casual sophistication".
